HEALTH: Conclusion The threat of the avian influenza should make us consider how we would want our community to respond in the case of an outbreak. The lessons we learn from thinking about the avian influenza threat will help us respond to other infectious disease outbreaks in the future. It is helpful to imagine what steps you would want your community to take in this type of crises. It is also helpful to realize that there are limits to how much one small community can do by itself. These lessons will help us reach out to other communities and other states to come up with better plans that would help us all make it through an outbreak. |
