Jorge Silva-Banuelos
Jorge is a Professional Staff Member for Chairman Bingaman's Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. His portfolio includes public lands policy, Native American issues, and
veterans' affairs.
Jorge graduated in 2003 from the University of San Diego with a bachelor's degree in International Relations and Spanish. Before coming to work for Senator Bingaman, Jorge taught English for one year at a junior high school in rural Japan.

Dan Alpert
Dan is Senator Bingaman's Legislative Assistant for issues related to the environment, agriculture, transportation, and infrastructure. Dan worked for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque before
joining Senator Bingaman's staff. He graduated from Miami University in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in physics and from the University of Illinois in 1980 with a Ph.D. in engineering.
